Instead of writing a check to pay for a purchase, use a HNB Visa® Check Card. The amount of the purchase is deducted from your checking account and detailed on your monthly statement. It’s quick, easy and safe.
You can use the HNB Visa® Check Card anywhere Visa is accepted. You can use it for almost anything including: gas, groceries, restaurants, stores, catalog-internet-phone orders, just to name a few.
For your protection, HNB Visa® Check Cards are issued with a preset limit of $1,000 per day for purchases (gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) and $500 for cash withdrawals. Limits can be raised by contacting the bank at 765-436-2222.
We recommend each cardholder enroll their card in the Verify by Visa security program. This program utilizes a password to verify online purchases at participating merchants. This added layer of security can prevent fraudulent use of your card at online merchants. Enroll in the Verify by Visa program. If you frequently shop online, the system may require you to enroll your card in order to complete your transaction. Also, if you are needing to reset or change your Verify by Visa Password you can access that here.
In addition, the HNB Visa® Check Card is also monitored by a fraud prevention service that will block access to the card if fraudulent use is suspected. The service will attempt to contact the card holder to verify the use or will keep the card blocked to prevent further use until we talk with the customer.
The HNB Visa® Check Card also allows access to your account(s) by ATM using your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to:
Make cash withdrawals from checking or savings account(s)
No fee ATM withdrawals at HNB or Fifth Third Banks
Transfer funds between HNB accounts
Obtain information about account balances
Change your PIN at HNB’s ATM or LiveHelp for assistance
All HNB Check Cards are automatically enrolled in the Ampre Check Card Rewards program.
Rotating offers allow you to earn cash back at participating merchants. If you would like to register to receive text message or email alerts, visit https://www.myampre.com/thehomenationalbank/. Even if you are not registered, you can still earn cash back. Simply swipe your card at a participating merchant, then you will see the cash back in your account within a day or two. It is that easy!

Mobile App & Capture
The HNB Mobile App is available for download in the iPhone and Android markets.
Is there a cost to use the HNB Mobile App?
There is no cost from HNB to download the Mobile App. Regular transaction fees associated with your HNB account(s) will apply. There may be data costs related to accessing the HNB Mobile App from your mobile device. Please check with your wireless plan or verify with your wireless carrier.
What activities can I perform in the HNB Mobile App?
View account balance, transfer funds, and deposit checks.
How secure is the HNB Mobile App?
The same security features and industry standards we utilize for Online Banking will apply to the HNB Mobile App.
I am not enrolled in Online Banking. Can I still use the HNB Mobile App?
You must enroll in Online Banking and have successfully signed in for the first time before attempting to use the Mobile App.
Are my login credentials the same for a mobile device as they are from my PC?
I am enrolled in Bill Pay. Can I pay bills from the HNB Mobile App?
At this time, Bill Pay is only available through a web browser and not the Mobile App.
How do I deposit checks through Mobile Capture?
Once you have downloaded the App, you will see an icon with a camera on any checking accounts. After clicking on it, the App will walk you through the process of depositing the check. We recommend, rather than signing the back of the check, that you write “For Deposit only to HNB” with the date. This will help you to remember that you have deposited the check.
What should I do with checks once I deposit them?
We recommend holding on to your deposited checks until you see them on your next statement. After that time, you may shred the check, or bring it to the nearest HNB location and we will destroy it for you.
When will my Mobile Capture deposit show in my account?
The cut-off time for a Mobile Capture deposit is 4 pm Monday – Friday. If a deposit is made prior to the cut-off time, the deposited funds will be available in the account the next business day. If the deposit is made after the cut-off time, the deposited funds will be available in your account on the second business day. See examples below:

In just a few minutes at your computer you can pay all your monthly bills. You can pay almost anything from your utility bills to the local florist. You can even pay the kid who cuts your grass or send a birthday check to your niece with this convenient service.
Do you have some recurring payments of the same amount monthly? You can schedule those to be paid automatically.
There is no limit on the number of payments that you can make monthly using Bill Pay.
This service is available to any online banking user with a checking account. Simply click on the Bill Pay menu item to set up your Bill Pay account.
EasyPay is our Account to Account (A2A) and Person to Person (P2P) transfer service. This service is available to all registered Online Banking users. Using EasyPay will allow you to easily transfer funds to or from another financial institution. You may also transfer funds to a family member or friend using only their cell phone number or email address!
To access this service, log on to your Online Banking, under the Transfer tab select EasyPay, and let the system walk you through the steps to get started!
